N O V A G O N G I first hear Novagong some time ago while following the path of darkness. In such a pursuit, you perceive at once that it is impossible that there should be anything of what you call a riff, but I dare say you will suppose that we could at least distinguish by sound the crunch, chunk, and other stabs, moving about as I have described them. On the contrary, we could hear nothing of the kind, not at least so as to distinguish one figure from another. Nothing was audible, nor could be audible, to us, except jutting crags; and the necessity of this they will heavily demonstrate.

Bizarrely, it eventually came to light that throughout the recording, Oblivion Griever had captured all their own tension and blast. It was this approach that would prove useful. Surrounded by pummeling recoil, the band was eventually forced to pause. The frayed vocal cords were housed in the mortal complex, and this output became their undoing.

3 Ways to Prevent Dystopian Burnout: Build a Strong Culture of Documentation and Knowledge One of the biggest challenges resistance encounters is how to communicate key information between team members. Many musicians are incredibly skilled at their trade but aren’t trained or given the time to emote. Constructive Onboarding Strong communication is especially vital during the most important periods for creativity. Prioritize Inclusivity at all Levels The experience of songcraft is greatly influenced by the dynamic within the band. The values of a band and the way that musicians interact make a big impact on listeners—and it’s not always a positive one.
4.
The key weakness of music is that it is dependent on the response of listeners, manipulative persuasion being an optimal outcome. Or is there another perspective? The chess match against one's own ears? The game perfectly played, unconcerned with outside approval.

Eric King laughs a dry, sputtering laugh through clouds of blue grey smoke. He’s agreed to answer my questions, despite the band’s almost total adherence to the shadows of obscurity. WM: What was the  most useful criticism you ever received? EK: Silence is its own kind of criticism. One of the best ways to keep things in perspective is to walk away from it all. WM: Talk about a time when you created a new process that was considered risky. EK: We went back and forth with musical approaches. I think the early stuff that was laid out in one long session probably qualifies. We don’t work like that anymore. (laughs) WM: Give me a specific occasion in which you conformed to a policy with which you did not agree. EK: I’d say the tyranny of the verse, chorus structure has always been something that has made us uneasy. WM: Can you recall a time when you were less than pleased with your performance? EK: Every few releases, there’s something that ends up being an imperfect expression of where we are as a band. WM: When was the last time that you thought "outside of the box" and how did you do it? EK: In our latest material, I’m more interested in knocking over the sandcastle, scribbling over the top of the bowl of fruit. But that’s something you can really only do after you’ve produced a body of conventional work.

Oh, the pancake vortices... the magnetic-field and current-density distributions generated by two-dimensional gaps in infinite, semi-infinite, and finite-thickness stacks of superconducting layers. You can hear it, can't you? Bubbling up through the gooey batter of the fingerboard. If you can't, do not fret. 1 C. Flour 1 Tbsp. Sugar 2 tsp. baking powder ¼ tsp. salt 1 beaten egg 1 C. water 1 Tbsp. Oil

The first and chief consideration in determining us to' accept or reject your offer lies in the inner motive which propels you to seek our instruction and, in a certain sense, our guidance ; the latter in all cases under reserve, as I understand it, and therefore remaining a question independent of aught else. Now, what are your motives? I may try to define them in their general aspects, leaving details for further consideration. Sinnett, 1840

One day I walked across the meadows which separate the Salt Lagoon from Tolstoi Head, where the great waves break upon the black rocks. This was away to the north of the Mist Islands, the one they call St, Paul of the Pribilof. It was a clear day, and in the far north the sun goes round and round in the summer, barely setting for two or three hours at night Being a clear day, it was warm and the bees were busy humming in the flowers which bloom all at once in the Mist Islands of Bering Sea. And so, when I came to the edge of the cliff they call Tolstoi, the strong one, it is so big and black, I found the whole family asleep. They lived at Tolstoi in the summer time, while in the winter they roamed the great seas.

Dear Editor: I am greatly distressed over the efforts being placed by recordists to reestablish diplomatic relations with the listener. As I wrote the Association a few days ago, home recording is probably the most critical international problem with which the listener is faced and resumption of diplomatic relations, which were broken off by record companies and not resumed by either The Industry, or The Media, should not, in my opinion, be considered by the present audience under any circumstances. Very truly yours, A concerned party

Music isn't right or wrong, because I have my own grip on right and wrong, and I have my own understanding of what is music and what is making music. Yeahhh, I think I've already written that I'm neither a musicologist nor a composer, but I would really enjoy listening to a song that really makes everything I have in my body react. The latest album made me think, a song that seems to be the only one that relates to the story of my own life, the real surroundings happening around me, and the first one that made me cry. Hahahahahaha, maybe some of you are tired of hearing me tell you about the greatness of sound, but it's up to you.

During the last week of June 1947 people in the Western United States began seeing “flying discs” in the sky. The United States Army Air Force announced on July 3rd that preliminary inquiry into report that strange “flying disks” had been whizzing at 1,200 miles an hour over the Western United States “has not produced enough fact to warrant further investigation.” The Air Force spokesman said that Air Force personnel were inclined to believe either that the observers just imagined they saw something or that there was some meteorological explanation for the phenomenon.

How happy are detailed chords! Never forget the elaborate and careful monophony. I saw the the typed written account of my vision destroyed, How I mourned the transcript. Does the time make you shiver? does it? big tones sing like a hushed aberration "Mumble", said the tones, And "mumble" then "mumble" again

When the mournful chords clang against the backbeat, it’s like listening to a jackhammer outside the window of a church. Their dripping, buttery style pools nicely in the pockets of open chords and single note melody. It’s on shorter compositions where they spend the most time exploring mood, striving to use nonverbal dna to bring life to metaphors. Somewhere beyond the clouds, the notes drift on forever.

If you put any surfboard on calm flat water the board would float in the same way every time. When you lie on your surfboard, on your stomach, the aim is to have the board float you in exactly the same way, relative to the surface of the water, as it was floating without you on top of it. With you lying on top of it, the board will off course sink a few inches lower in the water. However, if you’re lying in the right place, the board will be floating at the same flat angle, relative to the water’s surface, as it was floating without you on top of it. Most beginners make the mistake of lying too far back on the board. You’ll notice that if you float your board in calm water, without lying on top of it, the board’s nose (front end) will be at a certain angle, relative to the water’s surface.

To obtain correct length of band required, sew raglan or shoulder seams as stated in instructions. Place a pin at centre back neck of garment. Lay cardigan flat on table and pin fronts to back at raglan or shoulder seams. Pin fronts to back of cardigan along front edges, taking care that lower bands and front shapings match exactly. All rows of knitting should be horizontal across garment, thus any stripes or patterns will match exactly. Knit about ¥4 of length of band required. Place band to cardigan (garment laid flat) matching row for row on lower bands and noting that first row of knitting is right side of band unless otherwise stated. Pin buttonhole section to right front (left for man) noting that top buttonhole should come level with or a little below first shaping. Pin band up to raglan or shoulder seam.
